SOUTHWEST WASHINGTON CENTRAL LABOR COUNCIL
Washington's Foundation for Working Families Is Ready To Help During The Covid-19 Crisis
Updated On: Mar 24, 2020

Many union families in Southwest Washington are suffering economic hardship amid the COVID-19 outbreak, which had its U.S. epicenter in Washington state.

Thankfully, organized Labor has come together to help these families in need through the Foundation For Working Families - a non-profit organization established by the Washington State Labor Council, AFL-CIO and its affiliates. Since its inception, The FFWF has given cash assistance to hundreds of families who have suffered during flooding, wildfires, and other extraordinary circumstances.

Families can apply for FFWF assistance by downloading the FFWF Hardship Assistance Form. Assistance is restricted to union members and their families. For more information about the FFWF, email Karen White or call her at 360-570-5169.

At times like these many working people try to find ways to help. The WSLC urges all organizations and individuals who have the means to make contributions to the Foundation for Working Families. Click here to make a contribution online, or mail a check to:

The FFWF and WSLC thank all of the first responders, healthcare workers, and state and local agency staffs who are working so hard to protect all of us amid the COVID-19 outbreak.
