SOUTHWEST WASHINGTON CENTRAL LABOR COUNCIL
Celebrate Our LGBTQIA+ Family This Pride Month
Updated On: Jun 07, 2023

**Join us at Vancouver's Pride In The Park on July 8th at Esther Short Park!**

The Southwest Washington Central Labor Council is committed to the principle that all people are equal, and therefore deserve respect and fair treatment - regardless of sex, gender identity/expression, or sexual orientation.

Equal rights are the cornerstone of the labor movement.

Unions were founded on the principle that all people are equal and all people are deserving of respect and fair treatment. Equality issues run through all areas of trade union activities – from health and safety to wage negotiations.

We believe that equality for all is a basic human right and we actively oppose all forms of unlawful and unfair discrimination.

We urge our members to be vigilant in defending our LGBTQIA+ siblings and to work, with each other and with our employers, to promote an equal and welcoming environment for all people through our actions, attitudes, and language.
