Where are the federal and statewide candidates?

Federal and statewide candidates are endorsed by the Washington State Labor Council's Committee on Political Education (or COPE) Convention. Each election year Delegates from unions and Labor organizations in Washington state gather for the WSLC's COPE Convention to consider endorsements not just for congressional and statewide candidates, but for judicial candidates and state ballot measures as well.

The Delegates review questionnaires, hear directly from some candidates, and after spirited discussion vote on the COPE Convention's endorsements. By WSLC Constitution, the council’s endorsements require a two-thirds majority vote.
