Every election matters!

The Southwest Washington Central Labor Council has endorsed the following candidates for office in the August 3rd, 2021 Primary and Special Election:

Vancouver City Council  Pos 1 – John Blom

Vancouver City Council Pos 2 – Erik Paulson

Vancouver City Council Pos 3 – Diana Perez

Vancouver School District Pos 2 – Sandra Zavala-Ortega

Vancouver School District Pos 3 – Wendy Smith

Battleground City Council Pos 4 – Adrian Cortez

Camas School District Pos 1 – Corey McEnry

While many people make it a priority to vote in presidential or gubernatorial elections, they unfortunately skip their local and county elections. Please don't make this mistake! The people in local offices and School Boards have a much larger impact on our daily lives than the governor of Washington or the president of the United States - they're the ones who determine the quality of our roads, the books our kids read in school, and how fast a first responder might get to an emergency.  We urge you to take the time to vote in this important election, and to return your ballot by August 3rd, 2021 by mail, or at an official ballot drop box.
